About AppyShift

Why does managing an hourly team have to be this complicated?

That question is why AppyShift exists: one affordable, connected platform for hourly teams that grows with your business, works with the tools you already use, and keeps getting better without adding to the bill.

What we believe

Start with what you need

Turn on what works for your business today and grow into the rest when you're ready. No overnight overhaul.

Built by listening

The best ideas come from the owners, managers and employees using AppyShift every day. When something would make work easier, we want to hear it.

Works with your tools

AppyShift was built for integrations from day one. Keep the systems you like and connect them.

Pricing that stays upfront

New features shouldn't turn into new add-ons. As AppyShift grows, you get more for the same affordable price.

The story behind AppyShift

I've spent many years working in payroll and HR, alongside businesses that rely on hourly teams. Over that time, I kept hearing the same frustration: managing employees had become far more complicated than it needed to be.

Hours come from the point-of-sale system. Scheduling happens in another app, payroll somewhere else, and recruiting on yet another platform. Then there are separate tools for communication, onboarding and everything in between. Before long, a business is juggling five or six applications just to manage one workforce.

Why does managing an hourly team have to be this complicated?

That question became the reason for AppyShift.

Start with what you need, grow into the rest

I wanted to bring those pieces together and keep them affordable for the small and growing businesses that need them most. But "all-in-one" shouldn't mean forcing a business to change how it works overnight.

AppyShift is modular by design. Turn on what works for you today, and grow into the rest when you're ready. A business might start with scheduling and time tracking, then add recruiting, onboarding, team messaging, recognition, payroll and more as it grows.

And it packs a punch. Capabilities businesses usually have to find somewhere else are built in: two-way text messaging, recruiting, employee recognition, onboarding shaped around your business, government forms, and more.

Built by listening

What excites me most is listening to the people who use AppyShift. The best ideas won't come from us sitting in a room deciding what businesses need. They'll come from owners, managers and employees using it every day.

When a customer tells us, "You know what would make this easier?", I want that conversation to matter. If it solves a real problem and can help other customers too, we'll look for a way to deliver it.

Open to the tools you already use

I built AppyShift with integrations in mind from the beginning. It shouldn't exist on an island, and you shouldn't have to give up every system you already like just to use ours. We'll keep AppyShift open to integrations while we keep adding more to the platform itself.

Pricing that stays upfront

Affordability matters to me. Our pricing is upfront, and I don't want AppyShift to become one of those platforms where every new feature turns into another paid add-on. As we add more, the goal is to keep giving you more value at a price you can afford.

There will be a few exceptions where we have a direct cost to pass along, like text message usage, payroll checks and certain payroll services. Those should be the exception, not the business model.

Hourly businesses deserve something better: one affordable, connected platform that grows with them, works with the tools they already use, listens to the people using it, and keeps getting better without constantly adding to the bill. That's what we're building.
