Some employee app forms
On a few employee app pages (time off, availability, my profile, timesheets and shift swaps), some field labels are not yet connected to their fields, so a screen reader may not announce what a field is for.
We want everyone on a team to be able to use AppyShift: managers, employees and job applicants, on a computer or a phone, with or without assistive technology.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across the website, the manager app and the employee app. We have not had an outside accessibility audit, and we don't yet have a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template).
We check pages with automated accessibility scans and fix the problems we find. The gaps below are the ones we know about today.
These are the problems we know about and are working on:
On a few employee app pages (time off, availability, my profile, timesheets and shift swaps), some field labels are not yet connected to their fields, so a screen reader may not announce what a field is for.
Some small grey text, for example on timesheets and on the sign-in and sign-up pages, has less contrast than we aim for.
The employee app does not yet mark its main content area or offer a "skip to content" link. The manager app has both.
The weighted-average overtime calculator on our website has inputs without labels.
The monthly and annual pricing switch is not announced correctly by some screen readers.
The developer documentation page has low-contrast code samples and scrolling code boxes that can't be reached with the keyboard.
If something in AppyShift is hard to use with your setup, or you need information in another format, tell us. A person reads every message.
Email support@appyshift.com or call or text 833-660-0050. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser, device or assistive technology you use.
If you're an employee, your manager can also help with requests such as time off or schedule changes while we fix a problem.
