Map every pay period and payday for the year.
Choose a payroll frequency and pay-date pattern, then account for weekends, Federal Reserve holidays, and your own bank closures. Export the finished schedule as CSV, calendar events, or a printable PDF. Everything stays in your browser.
Build a payroll calendar
Schedules and custom closure dates are calculated on this device and are not sent to AppyShift.
| # | Pay period | Scheduled payday | Payday | Bank-day note |
|---|
Planning estimate only. The holiday check follows the standard US Federal Reserve holiday schedule, including Monday closure when a fixed-date holiday falls on Sunday and no Friday closure when one falls on Saturday. Confirm the calendar, ACH processing windows, funding lead times, state payday requirements, and any bank or payroll-provider closures before use. Review the Federal Reserve schedule.
Supported in AppyShift
- Managers can organize reviewed time records by payroll period before preparing an export.
- Payroll summaries connect scheduled work, approved punches, corrections, and extra earnings for review.
- Company payroll settings keep pay frequency and period boundaries consistent across payroll workflows.
Start with the real payroll rhythm
Choose weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, or monthly payroll. Weekly and biweekly schedules use an anchor payday and its associated period end; calendar-month schedules use selected payday patterns.
Make the bank-day decision visible
The calendar identifies weekends and standard Federal Reserve holidays, then applies the selected earlier, later, or unchanged payday rule. Add custom closure dates when a bank, processor, or company follows a different schedule.
Confirm funding and employee notice dates
A moved payday does not determine when payroll must be submitted or funded. Confirm ACH cutoffs, prefunding requirements, state payday rules, employee notices, and processor deadlines before adopting the calendar.
